The University of St. Thomas’s Department of Psychology invites applications for a Teaching Professor Faculty position in Developmental Psychology. The appointment will begin in fall 2025, and the search committee welcomes applicants with expertise in teaching our developmental psychology courses (e.g., Infancy & Childhood, Lifespan Development, Adolescence, Adulthood & Aging), biological psychology courses (e.g., Brain & Human Behavior, Drugs & Behavior, Physiological Psychology, Sensation & Perception), and General Psychology. The successful candidate will be expected to maintain a teaching load equivalent to instructing (six to eight, typically) four-credit undergraduate courses per year, in addition to student advising and other student-centered service activities (e.g., advising a student club). We are seeking outstanding candidates who are dedicated to innovative and inclusive undergraduate teaching and contributing to the sense of community and support among students, staff, and faculty.
Teaching Professor faculty at the University of St. Thomas are teaching specialists whose responsibilities are in the areas of teaching and other student-centered activities and service. Teaching Professor appointments are non-tenure track appointments that are subject to annual renewals for committed faculty with a passion for teaching and service.

Applicants must have a Ph.D. (U.S. or foreign equivalent degree) in psychology or a closely related field, or alternatively, ABD candidates nearing completion of the Ph.D. will be considered.
