Role: Sr. Avaya Orchestration Designer

Location: Las Vegas, Nevada

Duration: 12+ Months

Job Description:

Responsibilities:

• Partner with engineering managers towards successful (quality and time) delivery of the projects.
• Hands on implementation along with other team members or alone depending on the need and the scope
• Keep a view of upcoming technology relevant to Avaya's business and create a plan to leverage it.
• Evangelist / Guide / Mentor team member with the aim of creating a vibrant technical community.
• Drive innovation and patents in the team
• Will be the spokesperson of the team from the perspective of product architecture and technology. Will externally represent the Product.

Skills:

• Ideal candidate must be self-motivated with a proven track record in C/C++ or Java. Experience in cloud technologies and comfortable in a dynamic atmosphere of a technical organization.
• Bachelor of Engineering/technology with 18+ yrs engineering experience with strong experience in Telephony/VOIP/SIP/ Unified communications/ Contact center field.
• Candidate must be organized and analytical, adept at working in a team environment.
• Candidate should be able to handle multiple priorities.

Desired Skills and Experience :

• Exceptional Bachelor's degree qualifications in a relevant discipline such as Computer Science or Engineering
• Experience in Telephony, unified communications, contact center field.
• Product development experience (whole life cycle, requirements -functional spec Design Implementation-code reviews / testing. Agile development experience).
• We are looking for a candidate with hands on design and implementation experience.
• Should have experience in patent filing process, ideally with their own patents awarded.
• Experience in developing products optimized for performance / scale. (standard practices, performance characterization, debugging)
