Job Description
Do you dream of building robots that can navigate, perceive, and interact with the world just like humans do? Are you passionate about developing intelligent machines that can automate complex tasks, from industrial applications to autonomous vehicles? If you’re excited about pushing the boundaries of robotics technology and creating groundbreaking solutions, then our client has the perfect role for you. We’re looking for a Robotics Engineer (aka The Automation Pioneer) to design, develop, and deploy advanced robotic systems that transform industries.
As a Robotics Engineer at our client , you’ll work at the forefront of innovation, designing robots that combine mechanical engineering, AI, and machine learning to solve real-world problems. You’ll have the opportunity to work on projects that span across autonomous navigation, robotic perception, control systems, and more, creating systems that operate autonomously in complex environments.
Key Responsibilities:
- Robotic System Design and Development:
- Design, build, and program robotic systems for a wide range of applications, from autonomous vehicles to industrial automation. You’ll work with sensors, actuators, and microcontrollers to create intelligent machines that can interact with their environment.
- Autonomous Navigation and Control:
- Develop and implement control algorithms for autonomous navigation, path planning, and obstacle avoidance. You’ll ensure that robots can safely and efficiently navigate complex environments, whether indoors or outdoors.
- Robotic Perception and Computer Vision:
- Integrate computer vision and sensor fusion techniques (e.g., cameras, LIDAR, RADAR) to enable robots to perceive and understand their surroundings. You’ll work on object detection, recognition, and mapping to improve robotic perception.
- Simulation and Prototyping:
- Build and test robotic prototypes using simulation tools like Gazebo, ROS (Robot Operating System), or V-REP. You’ll validate control algorithms, sensor integration, and system behaviors in simulated environments before real-world deployment.
- Mechanical Design and Integration:
- Collaborate with mechanical engineers to design robotic hardware, ensuring that mechanical components (e.g., motors, joints, gears) are seamlessly integrated with electronic and software systems for optimal performance.
- Collaboration with AI and ML Teams:
- Work closely with AI and machine learning teams to integrate intelligent decision-making into robots. You’ll help develop AI models that enable robots to learn from their environment and adapt to new tasks.
- Testing, Debugging, and Optimization:
- Test, debug, and optimize robotic systems to ensure reliability, efficiency, and safety. You’ll fine-tune hardware and software components to meet performance standards in real-world applications.
Requirements
Required Skills:
- Robotics Engineering Expertise: Strong knowledge of robotics principles, including kinematics, dynamics, and control theory. You’re experienced in designing robotic systems from the ground up, combining hardware and software for seamless operation.
- Programming and Robotics Frameworks: Proficiency in programming languages like Python, C++, and MATLAB, along with experience using robotics frameworks such as ROS (Robot Operating System). You’re skilled at writing control algorithms, integrating sensors, and managing real-time systems.
- Autonomous Systems and Navigation: Expertise in autonomous navigation, SLAM (Simultaneous Localization and Mapping), path planning, and obstacle avoidance. You have experience developing control systems that allow robots to operate autonomously in dynamic environments.
- Sensors and Actuators: Hands-on experience with various sensors (e.g., LIDAR, cameras, RADAR) and actuators (e.g., motors, servos, and hydraulic systems). You understand sensor integration and sensor fusion for perception and decision-making.
- Mechanical Engineering and Simulation: Solid understanding of mechanical design and the ability to work with CAD tools and simulation environments. You’re comfortable collaborating with mechanical engineers and validating designs in simulation software like Gazebo.
