HELICOPTER PILOT:
Apex Helicopters, based in Florence, Oregon is seeking a full time commercial helicopter pilot.
Duties include, but are not limited to flight planning, aircraft preparation, aircraft operation, customer logistics, remote field operational planning / logistics and managing ground crews. Additional duties and responsibilities may be required based on individual customer contract specifications.
Type of flights include FAA Part 91, 133, 135, 137 civil flights and public aircraft operations in the lower 48 United States and Alaska. Customers include private sector, county, state and federal entities or agencies.
Typical projects / contracts will consist of but are not limited to:
• State and Federal Wildland Fire Suppression
• State and Federal Non-Fire Project Work
• Part 133 Production VR Long-Line Work
• Part 133 Precision VR Long-Line Work
• Part 135 Air Taxi / Charter
• Property / Right of Way Survey & Mapping
• Fish & Wildlife Survey
Job Requirements
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS & LICENSING:
• FAA Commercial Rotorcraft / Helicopter Certificate
• FAA 2nd Class Medical
• USA Drivers License
• Meets FAA Part 135 VFR / Day & Night Helicopter Requirements
• Meets USFS / DOI Pilot Carding Requirements
• Legal to Work in the United States
MINIMUM REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, SKILLS & CERTIFICATION:
• 3500 Hours PIC / Rotorcraft - Helicopter
• 50 Hours PIC / Bell 206 Series
• 50 Hours PIC / AS350 Series
• Previous Part 133 Endorsement
• Basic Computer / Tablet Skills
• Current Passport
PREFERRED ADDITIONAL EXPERIENCE, SKILLS & CERTIFICATION:
• Commercial Drivers License w/ HazMat Endorsement
• A&P Mechanic License
• CFI / Rotorcraft Helicopter
• Production Long Line Experience
• 3 Years Wildland Fire Fighting Experience
• Fish & Wildlife Survey Experience
COMPENSATION:
Pay is commensurate based on certifIcations, skill and experience. This means that the more additional (listed above) experience, skills and certifications you possess, the more you will be compensated.
WORK SCHEDULE:
Work schedule is designed around FAA Part 91, 133 and 135 duty / flight limitations and customer contract specifications; ie; USFS, DOI, State, Private, etc.
